Welcome to BuildingControlRegister.ie. The issue of Building Regulation compliance has been hotly debated in all media outlets since the introduction of the Building Control (Amendment) Regulation 2014 on the 1st of March this year. We at BuildingControlRegister.ie have developed a cloud based administration and inspection software system that takes the hassle out of Building Regulation compliance for Design and Assigned Certifiers.

Since the introduction of the new regulation on the 1st of March there has been a lot of confusion among all the stakeholders within the construction process regarding the new regulation and particularly among the professional group of Registered Architects, Chartered Engineers and Registered Building Surveyors who are profession under legislation that signs off on Building Regulation compliance.

Clients who are undertaking new building works to which the new Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 apply must employ a Design Certifier (to certify building regulation compliance before commencement notice and at completion) and an Assigned Certifier (to certify building regulation compliance and inspect works during construction and at completion). The Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier must be a professional from the profession mentioned above.
